Airport customers who get to the airport via Highway EE (Division Street) will likely want to find a different way to the airport for the next couple of months. Construction work begins July 6 at EE and Haseltine Road to improve the intersection there for the new Greene County jail.
The Greene County Highway Department says EE will be reduced intermittently to one lane and that flag men will control traffic. The road will not be completely closed, but short delays are expected (see map).
We suggest that airport customers use West Chestnut (Route 266) to get to the airport. That’s west on Chestnut to Airport Boulevard, then take a right (north) on Airport Boulevard, and follow to the airport.
A gentle reminder to those of you who arrive at the airport 45 minutes before flight departure: we strongly recommend that you arrive at the airport at least two hours before departure. Please don’t assume that this is a slow time in the airport/airline business. It is not. Passenger numbers are at, or near, pre-pandemic levels. You don’t want to miss your flight!
