The Springfield-Branson National Airport is proud to continue our partnership with the Springfield Regional Arts Council (SRAC) to bring local art to travelers passing through the airport. The current show, “Wide Open Spaces”, consists of photos and illustrations of various escapes, from fields to coastlines, amplifying the anticipation that will likely accompany passengers in the airport this spring as it becomes safer to indulge in travel again.
“Wide Open Spaces” features 15 artists and includes work in acrylic, ink, mixed-media, and photography. Artists in this exhibit include SRAC member artists Meike Aton, Rick Atwell, Greg Chappell, Nancy Day, Dean Ertel, Chris Haike, Mindy Kilgore, Steve McGuire, Alan O’Neal, Larry Owen, Betty Parnell, Susie Sharpe, Andrew Shiarla, Carol Snyder, and Allin Sorenson.
The show is on display from February 19th, 2021, through May 26th, 2021. A selection of the work on display can be accessed online at www.flyspringfield.com/arts.
The Sky Gallery works in conjunction with the SRAC to provide rotating exhibits that include SRAC artist members, students and faculty of local colleges, universities, and public schools, and occasionally national organizations and special interest groups. Artists interested in exhibiting their work at The Sky Gallery should contact Rachel Johnson at 417-862-2787 or at [email protected].
